Yes. The kit is designed for DIY fitment with the supplied user and installation guide, and the colour-coded harness plugs together. If you would rather have it fitted, our authorised installers can do it for you.

Not necessarily. Jacka-HD works with your existing Jayco telescopic masts. The Jacka-HD and Jacka-Mast Combo Kit replaces both if your masts are worn. Typically 10+ years is a good guide to look at changing out those standard Jayco telescopic masts.

The roof can still be raised and lowered. You need to use the emergency jumper lead that is provided with your kit. It is simply plugged into your controller, and then you can use any external 12V DC power source (Typically - Tow vehicle) to power up the controller. Do not worry, the Jacka-Jay/HD system uses a very small amount of power and will not discharge the power source.

The Jacka-Jay controller has active fault detection and senses any abnormal lift obstructions. It will detect the fault on the obstructed corner, halt all lifting function, and lower the roof again away from the obstruction. Then advise the operator which corner has a problem.

No. The Jacka-Jay/HD product replaces the entire winch and cable system, that of which actually lifts the roof. If you want to replace the standard telescopic masts, you need the Jacka-Mast product.

No. The Jacka-Jay/HD products do not mechanically pull the roof down. We think of it as a roof support system that simply pushes the roof up. When the Jacka-Jay/HD system retracts (while lowering), the roof comes down with gravity. If there is an obstruction holding the roof up, the Jacka-Jay system will continue retracting; however, it will not mechanically pull the roof down onto the obstruction, it will only experience the roof's gravity weight at that position.

No, from 2024 onwards, we are using an impact-resistant capacitive touchscreen. However we do not recommend testing its capability. Place the controller in a safe place.

You can manually wind the roof up and down with a drill, if you can access the motor area. Additionally, if one motor fails, you still have the other 3, they all operate independently. You can use the other 3 motors to lift the roof, and you can manually guide and support the failed corner. Also, we build and assemble all parts in Sydney, so we can quickly overnight parts anywhere in the country.

It is a direct replacement for the standard telescopic masts in Jayco camper trailers. So this means that it is the same job to install a Jacka-Mast or a standard Jayco one. Its a no brainer....

No. Jacka-Masts work with the original Jayco winch system as well as with Jacka-Jay and Jacka-HD electric lifts.

No. We recommend to simply keep the Jacka-Masts clean, and allow the 316 stainless steel and low-friction poly guides to do their job and not get soiled by external contaminents.
